President & Founder
Justin West is the President and Founder of Highlander Security Solutions, bringing over 17 years of experience in both public and private security environments. He brings a practical, leadership-driven approach to safeguarding people, property, operations, and reputation. His career commenced in protective operations, providing support to professionals within the music and entertainment industry. Subsequently, he expanded his expertise through independent security assignments, executive protection training, and leadership roles encompassing corporate facilities, live events, retail environments, community organizations, and high-profile engagements. This extensive background has honed his ability to assess risk, coordinate personnel, enhance security protocols, and maintain composure in dynamic situations.
At Highlander Security Solutions, Justin oversees client strategy, security program development, personnel standards, operational oversight, and relationship management. His work is characterized by discretion, preparedness, accountability, and responsive service. He prioritizes the development of security solutions tailored to each client's unique operational environment, eschewing a one-size-fits-all approach. Justin's leadership philosophy is centered on the principle that professional security should instill confidence without unnecessary disruption. Whether supporting an executive, fortifying a facility's security measures, managing an event operation, or advising an organization on risk management, he is dedicated to providing dependable service, fostering clear communication, and safeguarding client confidentiality.
Richard G. McCart
Executive Director
Richard G. McCart is a security and law-enforcement executive with 30 years of experience in executive protection, complex investigations, insider-threat detection, fraud prevention, intelligence screening, and physical security. As Executive Director of Highlander Security Solutions, he oversees security operations, personnel management, regulatory compliance, threat assessments, incident response, internal investigations, and executive-protection services. His career includes service with the Department of Human Services, Department of the Air Force, CACI, and the United States Navy, including assignments supporting national-security operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. Mr. McCart holds a Master's degree in Security Management and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He is POST-certified in Illinois and Missouri, a retired law-enforcement officer, and held at one time SSBI/Top Secret security clearance.
